Spanish Join In The Electric Market

According to Edmunds Inside Line, the Spanish are resurrecting Izaro Motors after 90 years, to get a slice of the electric vehicle market.

"The Izaro GT-E, seen so far only in computer renderings, seems to have the Tesla Roadster in its sights, at least in terms of performance and focus.
The company's press materials paint a glowing picture of a sleek coupe built of basalt fiber, magnesium and aluminum, and designed to sprint from zero to 60 in less than 4.0 seconds, with a top speed of 174 mph.
With a 495-horsepower electric motor, the GT-E is said to have a projected range of 155 miles, while the 416-hp hybrid variant stretches that distance to 430 miles. Battery life is estimated at 300,000-600,000 miles..."
