Infiniti Loaner: G25X

My car is in the shop getting some maintenance, an oil change, and a winter run-through. The main issue at hand was the lighting up (and consequent turning off) of the VDC--vehicle dynamic control in tune with the brake light. This had been going on for about two weeks.

Infiniti of Lisle loaner
They promised to have my car ready on Monday, but meanwhile, gave me a loaner. It's an Infiniti G25X. The G25X, you may already know, is the latest addition to the Infiniti line, at the entry level.

I find it to be a rather long, luxury sedan that has comfortable interiors, bucket seats, lots of room in the rear seating area, a rather plain plastic dashboard, seat warmers, and a stiffer ride than my EX35.

The most noticeable change from the EX to this G: lack of oomph when hitting the accelerator on the express lane (my head doesn't touch the head rest), the steering is a little overly sensitive, there aren't airflow directional controls (air up, up and down, etc.), the ride is slightly stiffer, the bucket seat sides a little taller, and there's no XM (!).

I think it's a spectacular entry car for young professionals looking to differentiate themselves from the hoardes who go for BMWs (3 or 5 levels), or C-class Benzs.

It's definitely not the car for me. I've learned and realized that I need an SUV, I need oomph when hitting the accelerator on the highway, and I may very well now be also spoiled by the buttery-soft suspension on my EX.
